A visit

How a load goes

  1. 01

Step 1: Sorted by your fabric card

Whites, colors and delicates, with the pieces that need a different wash listed by name.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Washed and dried

In your machines, at the setting the label asks for.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Pressed and folded

Ironed to the standard on your card and folded the way you keep them.

  4. 04

Step 4: Put away and counted

Each piece goes where the card says, and the closet count is updated.

Before we arrive

What to leave us, and what we pass on

  • Before we arrive

    • Make a list of what is hand-wash only

    • Tell us what must never be bleached or tumbled

    • Say where each kind of linen lives, room by room

  • What we do not do

    • Wash anything marked dry-clean only

    • Treat stains we cannot name

    • Repair clothing beyond buttons and hems

    • Empty pockets or handle jewelry beyond setting it on the dresser

Questions about linens

Do you use our machines?

Almost always, in your laundry room. If a load must go out, such as a comforter, we arrange it with you first.

What about delicate fabrics?

They go on a separate list in the house card with how each is washed, or a note that it goes to your own cleaner.

Do you replace linens that wear out?

No. We tell you when a set has worn, in the monthly count, and you decide.

Ask for the linens to be written in

The linen closet is counted at the walk-through, so the first monthly count has something to start from.
